CELEB SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT….

Promo began for Mariah’s new single Touch My Body yesterday when she dropped by 106 & Park. Mariah was on the show to officially premiere her new video:

I liked her leather pants. She looked nice. And, let me add it’s pretty obvious that Mariah is a higher priority at Island Def Jam. After all, I don’t recall Janet appearing on 106 OR TRL to premiere her video for ‘Feedback’ but I guess they’re making up for it now. I see they’re not taking any chances with Mariah.

She appeared on the show with that geek actor from her video. Those platform shoes are ugly. What was she thinking?

On the same day, Ashanti visited TRL to premiere the OFFICIAL version of her new video The Way That I Love You:

She also appeared on 106 for the same reasons. She looked hot on both occasions and has in fact lost weight.

Shareefa and Jordin Sparks hit up the R&B LIVE at Spotlight on Tuesday in New York City:

Earlier this week, Jordin also appeared on fuse’s “The Sauce” to discuss her album and latest video for “No Air” featuring Chris Brown. She is really sweet. And it must have been great to be interviewed by the host Jared Cotter who was also a singing contestant with her on American Idol season 6 last year.

Cheri Dennis had an album release party on Tuesday in New York City for her new album, Portrait of Love, which was physically released on Tuesday:

I downloaded her album last year November when it was digitally released on i-tunes. And I have to say the album is pretty solid. She needs to take her ass off Bad Boy though because she’s not a priority over there and as talented as she is, she will never get the acknowledgment and attention that she deserves. Faith Evans broke away, and she can do it too.

Earlier this week, Keyshia Cole attended Floyd Mayweather Jr.‘s 31st birthday party in Vegas:

They looked pretty cosy. But as long as they’re just friends, Keyshia’s boyfriend Jeezy has nothing to worry about. It’s a rarity but she looked cute. As for Floyd, ugh, that’s another story.

SHAREEFA: ON FIRE (FEAT JADAKISS) [NEW SINGLE!]…..

Shareefa is gearing up to release her sophomore album ‘The Black Dahlia’ which will see a release date later on in the year. The first single from the set is titled ‘On Fire’ which features rapper Jadakiss:

The beat is cool even if I’ve heard it before. The upbeat track could easily have been a Keyshia Cole/Mary J Blige joint as it embarks on a similar R&B sound with that Hip Hop edge. The musical style isn’t that much different which doesn’t really set Shareefa apart as an artist. But I feel Shareefa has a lot to offer to the fickle recording industry. She can definitely sing and deserves the same recognition to that of her peers.
