A brand new song from Omarian‘s latest recorded sessions has leaked. The track is called ‘Boogie Police’ and features Missy, who seems to be very popular on the cameo scene right now…..

As previously reported, O is currently in the studio recording a brand new album. After leaving Sony, the 23-year-old’s forthcoming project will be released next year courtesy of Timbaland‘s record label Mosley Music Group (a franchise of Interscope Records so technically he’s signed to Interscope). Timbaland will also be executive-producing the project which will see contributions from Tim’s songwriting pals Justin Timberlake and Keri Hilson as well as Missy. I’m not really liking the song that much, except for the chorus. It’s catchy but ‘Icebox’, which was also produced by Tim was blazing and he needs to come with that same fierceness. This song, as catchy as it may be, is a step down considering he’s released MUCH better songs in the past.

OMARION CUTS OFF HIS BRAIDS….

A couple of weeks ago, pictures appeared on-line which indicated that R&B singer Omarion had cut off his trademark braids. Well, the hardcore evidence is right here below. O uploaded the footage to his YouTube channel yesterday where he spoke on his brand new look and forthcoming new album:

Awww, so he finally took the leap and followed in the footsteps of fellow R&B singer Trey Songz (who also did an identical video to this one showing the final steps of losing the braids). Anyway, braids really are played and I’m glad O came to his senses. Maybe we can get R&B singer Lloyd to hop onto the bandwagon as well. Damn, O had some niiiiice hair though so I’m shocked he got rid. I’m sure many females would love for that hair, lol. I always thought he was going to grow old with his braids dangling down that nice plump ass of his. And fuck yeah, he looks sooooo much sexier with the low cut caesar. Break me a piece of that please so I can dunk it in my tea.

OMARION SIGNS WITH TIMBALAND’S LABEL….

After Omarion was dropped from Sony earlier this year, the 23-year-old has now signed a brand new record deal with Timbaland‘s record label Mosley Music Group which is apparently a franchise of Interscope Records. The singer is expected to have his third album out before the years end.

Timbaland will be executive-producing and the new album will also see contributions from Tim’s songwriting pals Justin Timberlake and Keri Hilson. O seems to be really about the latest new transitioning. He says: “I’m really excited about this project. Timbaland is like family to me, so it’s always great to work with family and I think this is going to be my best album yet. I’m happy to call Mosley Music Group my new home”. Aside from Icebox (which was produced by Timbaland), I wasn’t mad keen on his music, as talented as he is. I did like what he churned out whilst he was with B2K (it’s a shame they split, they worked hard and had mad potential as did many other groups that didn’t make it i.e. ATL, Imajin, etc). But I’m glad that he’s been given a second chance to let his talent shine some more. Good luck to him.

In the UK singles chart, Rihanna is also enjoying a second week at the top spot with Take A Bow.

Last night on the American Idol Results show, Fantasia Barrino performed ‘Bore Me (Yawn)’. She showed off a new flaming red hairdo:

The performance was, um, crazy. Fun, but utterly crazy. I certainly wasn’t yawning, and neither did it bore me. She didn’t sound that nice at all. But hey, at least she no longer has to worry about being judged. Did ya’ll catch Simon‘s facial expression at mark 2:55. Hilarious!

On the results show of Dancing With The Stars, Tuesday night, R&B singer Omarion performed Michael Jackson‘s Thriller:

Performance was hot. I absolutely loved it. You always hear about Chris Brown and Usher being the hottest male dancers in music right now, but I think O is highly underrated.

I can imagine that night being filled with annoying “wooooo”‘s and “baby”‘s. I’m not much of a fan of her live performances but she always looks cute and dolled up. I’m still interested in what she has on offer for new album The Declaration which will hit stores on June 3rd.

Yesterday, Alicia Keys appeared on BET’s 106 & Park where she cohosted the entire show with Rosci and Terrence. On the show, she premiered her brand new video Teenage Love Affair.

I was definitely feeling Alicia’s whole get-up. Cute. The singer has been forced to cancel several shows due to vocal problems. She is currently being treated by a physician, and is expected to return to the stage on Saturday, April 26th at the Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center in Columbus.

OMARION HAS BEEN DROPPED….

It isn’t good news for Omarion as he’s lost his record deal with Columbia Records. Jawn Murray from AOL Black Voices has reported that the Sony imprint has dropped the former B2K lead singer.

This is bullshit. This is hypocritical. Kelly Rowland (who is also with Columbia) did much worse than Omarion in the sales department and yet she gets to record a third solo album right now as we speak (Matthew Knowles may have saved her but for how long for?). It’s not at all surprising though because his sophomore solo album ’21’ didn’t do good and his joint album ‘Face Off’ with Bow Wow was also a flop only selling 341,137 units to date according to SoundScan. It’ll be interesting to see who he inks his next deal with.

On March 23rd, Beyonce and her cousin/assistant Angela Beyince was spotted arriving at a private airport in Los Angeles, California:

When she’s not too busy ignoring her young fans who wait for HOURS just to meet her, she stays playing cat and mouse with the paparazzi instead. I am quite baffled as to where this new-found hiding of her face comes from all of a sudden. I thought that was Jessica Alba’s style.

Rihanna and Chris Brown have further fuelled rumours they are dating after they were photographed leaving a London hotel. On Saturday morning, the two were spotted leaving a London hotel before making their way to nightspot Maya.

According to onlookers, they left the club together at 3am (GMT). I think this pairing goes beyond fuelled rumours. They’re dating but won’t admit to it. BOTH of them have declared their single-status recently but it looks pretty bad that they’re lying through their teeth to the media when they are seen leaving hotels in the early hours TOGETHER. If they told the truth, maybe they’d stop being grilled cos really, they are making themselves look like attention whores.

Over the weekend, the finale season for Making The Band 4 went down in New York City. The event was hosted by MTV VJ Sway. All the stars of the show were of course at the taping such as Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie who all performed. Of course Diddy was there since he’s the founder of everything and he brought along his cute lil twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James. Check out these pics of the action that took place:

Aw! His twins are absolutely adorable. They’re looking a lot like Diddy especially in the mouth area. I also see a likeness to their brother Justin. I guess Diddy had to try and take the limelight away from his ex Jenny Lo Lo and HER twins.

So those two are really together. Interesting. I still have not got round to listening to that Day 26 album. I’ve been too busy. I have an extremely important exam on Friday so I’ve been preparing for that and other stuff which would explain why updates have been rather slow. I am hoping to get the review up this week. On March 22nd, Veteran Mary J. Blige kicked off her explosive joint ‘Heart of the City’ tour with Veteran rapper Jay-Z. The tour took place in Miami’s American Airlines Arena:

Pal Kanye West attended the tour among many others. I know few of you Toya’s World readers have attended or will be attending this. If you want to write a full on review that you’d like to publish on here, feel free to let me know. After all, there’s no doubt that the gig tickets were one of the must-have tickets in town, providing Ebay/Craig’s List floggers to make a nice little tidy profit. Two massive music giants at the top of their game doing a tour together is pretty compelling. Then again, Jay-Z went on a joint tour with another R&B veteran a couple of years ago and we all know how that ended, lol. As long as nothing allows Mary’s wig to furiously run itself into the ground, good things are set to come from this I think. Let’s just pray things don’t end badly. Needing to add, it’s been 5 months since Mary released her lead single Just Fine off her platinum-selling album Growing Pains (to date it has sold 1.4 million) and yet they are struggling to put out a 2nd single. Work That was believed to be the 2nd single but got ditched at the last minute. Mary’s people also put up a poll on her official site asking fans to vote for her second single. Come To Me received the most votes but the song never released. Instead it was used for promotional purposes. There was also a press release announcing that Hurt Again was the new single and again, that changed. Stay Down is the now the official second single but I wouldn’t even be surprised if that got changed. We just love it when an artist plays bamboozle with their fans.

On Friday (March 21th), Mariah Carey and best friend Da Brat was spotted at Villa Nightclub in Los Angeles, California:

Mariah was looking really hot. Her latest single Touch My Body, has just become available for download today. Although I am still not all that excited about the song, it would be pretty cool if she got her 18th no 1. Maybe that would be the boost needed for her to be on her A-game again. Her mediocrity as of late hasn’t really been impacting. Still, I can’t wait for her new album E=MC² which will be released in little over 3 weeks. The clock is ticking.

A host of R&B stars performed at HOT 97 Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show in New York City over the weekend. Starting with Cheri Dennis:

Po Cherry. She certainly not getting any love from Diddy or his Bad Boy cheques. I’ve seen homeless folk look better. Shame shame shame, because she’s probably the most talented artist on that label.
